I absolutely love this place! I even spotted local celebrity Mike Prasad there!
This typically isn't my style of food, but the meat was cooked perfectly, the seasonings were a perfect accent, and I honestly loved the atmosphere and helpful staff. -

I live right across the street and have never tried this place until today. I was driving home from work exhausted and starving from the LA Friday traffic. Decided to give this place a try.
I had the Young Sam Gye Tang and I must say.. it's heaven. Generous portion and of great value. Service is exquisite. Extremely warm, welcoming, polite, professional and very attentive to your needs, which I hate to admit.. is rare in my opinion. You can tell they're genuine and really care about the customer experience. That compounded to an amazing experience here.
Taste is delicious. The side dishes are fresh and clean. Plenty of on site free parking here, which again.. is rare for Koreatown. Plenty of seating to accommodate any size group. I saw a soft opening sign out front. Not sure how long they're been open for, but they are doing it the right away.
I wish them all the best and encourage anyone to give this place a try. Promise you won't regret it! Hats off to the owners and staff here. You have a new local fan. -

Oh its good (but used to taste way better before they moved... I am thinking because its still soft opening? We'll see.. ) This place is actually very well known among my parents generation. Their new location is a lot cleanlier and bigger.
However, the food quality is not what it was.
Soup was more rich and food seemed more well prepared. Wasn't really impressed with their food but since all my chicken soups here were amazing in the past, perhaps it's just today and it will get better.
You'll see a lot of people eating piping hot soup during summer-it's a cultural thing (way to maintain health during hot season). Went today for lunch and it was packed! (On Monday noon).
Their new location is super clean and service is on point! -

Literally nothing to complain about this place! I come here when I am need of a good samgyetang fix - this is the only place I go to. The food is great, comes out really hot, and they are not shy on portions. Add some salt to the soup and you're good to go. The side dishes are really good as well! Their pickled/marinated cabbages are soo good. The price is moderate in my opinion - not expensive but not super cheap either. But you will not waste a penny at this place! Apart from their consistently amazing food, the servers/owners are super nice as well. Absolutely recommend this place for those who've been looking for a good samgyetang spot, but also those that have never tried before!

Maybe to people who believe in the medicinal benefits of herbs in the traditional Korean chicken soup, this place meet their needs but to me and my family, this place is just ok.
The only thing they have is chicken soup - you can have them with different herbs (like ginseng). They are nice for cold nights or when you're trying to recover from a cold. However, if anyone on your party isn't a chicken soup fan, then there's not much for them.
There are very few vegetables no matter what you order. Varieties of their appetizers are few - we got three dishes (most Korean restaurants give you 5-ish ) and two were kimchi. Nothing green.
So overall I'd say this may be a niche place for chicken soup lovers and others may need to adjust their expectations.
